UNION, SOUTH CAROLINA, June 25 (Nationwide Times) — Three Wendy’s employees in Union, South Carolina, were charged with tampering with a human drug product or food item after police said a drive-thru customer’s meal was allegedly taken from the trash and spat on before being served again.

Union police said the incident happened at the Wendy’s on North Duncan Bypass after a customer complained about her first order and the staff offered to remake it. According to police accounts cited in reporting by Fox News and Audacy, the customer accepted the remade meal and drove away before the alleged tampering.

Fox News identified the charged employees as Aaliyah Shuntai Sanders, Trinity Lashell Rice and Shadela Crystal Holley. The report said the three were arrested separately between June 16 and June 22.

Audacy, citing the Union Police Department, reported that Sanders and Rice were arrested and that a third employee was disciplined by the restaurant. Fox News said the manager reported all three workers involved had been written up.

The supplied reporting gives conflicting dates for the alleged incident, with Audacy placing it on May 30 and Fox News reporting it as May 31. The record provided does not include the underlying police report or charging documents.
