How we started
Paso Robles sits among oak-covered hills and vineyards, with hot springs woven into its story. We started this publication because that mix of land, wine and long-standing local character gives us a particular place to understand and describe. A story about the vineyards begins in the same landscape as a story about a dry summer or a changing downtown.
As part of Times Media Service, we write for people who call Paso Robles home and for those getting to know it. We keep the hills, the streets and the people who use them in view as we cover what happens here.

Where we cover
Every story is tagged to the place it is about, and every place has its own page.
How we work
The short version of our standards. Each one links to the full policy.
Independent
Editors decide what we publish. Advertising, sponsorship and other commercial interests cannot buy favorable coverage or stop legitimate reporting.
Accountable
When a fact we published is wrong, we correct the story itself and add a visible note that says what changed.
How we use AI
AI and automated tools may help us with research, drafting, transcription and translation. A responsible person is accountable for everything we publish, and we disclose AI’s role when it is material.
Who owns us and pays for this
Paso Robles Times is owned and published by Times Media Service LLC, which is owned and currently funded by its parent company, CISO Network LLC. Sponsored content must say so.
Times Media Service
Paso Robles Times is one of 60 Times Media Service publications in California.
