CALHOUN COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA, June 20 (Infinite Headlines) — The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office said six people were arrested after a June 6 brawl at the 601 Sand Bar on the Congaree River in South Carolina, where deputies said alcohol and underage drinking were factors in the violence.

Sheriff Thomas Summers said more than 20 people were involved and at least three were injured. He said the injuries ranged from swollen eyes to head injuries.

Video released by the sheriff’s office showed multiple fights and people crowding around the scene during the annual Sparkleberry Duck Run.

Fox News identified the arrested people as Brendan Bonds, Hunter Dalzell, Lucas Scott, Edward Scott, Austin Mizzell and Taylor Knudson, saying they face various assault and breach-of-peace charges. The available reports did not include a detailed charging document or court filing.

Summers said the investigation remains active and that more arrests are expected as detectives continue reviewing video and public submissions. Authorities have not publicly said what sparked the fight.
