LAREDO, Texas, June 23 (Del Rio Online) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the World Trade Bridge in Laredo seized more than 1,100 pounds of suspected methamphetamine after a commercial truck carrying a shipment listed as polypropylene was sent to secondary inspection, the agency said.

CBP said the seizure happened Monday, June 15, 2026, after an officer referred a 2013 D-13 Volvo hauling the load for additional screening.

The truck was inspected with a canine team and a nonintrusive inspection system, which led officers to the drugs, CBP said.

The agency said officers found 1,100.79 pounds of suspected methamphetamine with a street value of $10,122,012.

CBP seized the drugs, and Homeland Security Investigations special agents are investigating.
