BAHRAIN, June 27 (World Daily Times) — Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry said Iran launched drones into Bahraini territory on Saturday, calling the strike a “flagrant threat” to the kingdom’s security as Gulf states condemned the attack in separate statements.

Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi called the attack “treacherous” and said it would undermine peace efforts. Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry said the Iranian strikes were “a dangerous undermining of endeavors for peace and stability” and a threat to regional security.

Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates also condemned the attack, saying it violated Bahrain’s sovereignty and international law. Bahrain said the Iranian regime’s continued attacks placed responsibility on Tehran for undermining peace efforts.

Fox News, citing The Associated Press, reported that Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said on state television that it had targeted several locations “of the U.S. terrorist army in the region.” Fox News also reported that no casualties or significant damage had been reported.

Roya News said Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry tied the incident to commitments under an “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding” signed on June 17, 2026. The New York Times reported that Gulf foreign ministers meeting in Bahrain had already denounced Iranian assaults on Bahrain and Kuwait and called for an immediate cessation of hostilities.
